Megan Huard was born and raised in Boca Raton, Fl and spent most of her childhood following her mom around in fitness facilities. After high school, she decided to take her love of food and turn it into a career. She graduated in 2005 with a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Miami. As part of her programs requirement she completed a 3 month long internship at the prestigious Pritikin Longevity Center Resort & Spa. After the internship, the company offered her a position as a head chef, which she accepted and carried out for 2 ½ years. While at Pritikin she got to take her love of cooking and her passion for a healthy lifestyle and share it with others. She taught cooking classes to guests and worked hand and hand with registered dietitians to reshape the way people look at their eating patterns in a healthy way.
Through her time at Pritikin she found her calling for nutrition. She left the world of professional cooking and decided to go back to school. While working on her second degree she worked as a diet clerk at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012 and became a Registered Dietitian in 2013.
In her free time she loves going to the beach and spending time boating. She also owns and operates a small photography company.
Megan truly enjoys working with people and sharing their enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle. She believes that everyone can learn how to make healthy food taste great and that food really can be medicine.
