First class testing for first class achievement!
If you’re trying to build strength, your power and performance for work, sport and life, this program is for you.
Chronic inflammation can drain energy and slow you down, lengthening recovery and run times. Reducing chronic inflammation by minimizing consumption of inflammatory foods and personalized nutrition can result in noticeable improvements in (physical) performance, including increased energy and balanced mental resilience.
Everyone wants to increase their strength. You can’t reach your full potential until you identify hidden inflammation triggers in your diet, environment and even supplements. Dysregulated immune function inhibits physical and mental performance.
The Alcat Test is used extensively by elite athletes and professional sports teams. Here is how:
When performing research on the Alcat Test scientists from Yale School of Medicine discovered, among other beneficial changes, a marked decrease of elastase in the blood. Elastase is produced by innate immune cells to fight infection. However, elastase also degrades muscle tissue.
There’s another important component to this program. Nutrition. Inflammation in the gut will inhibit absorption of nutrients, depriving your body of vital nutrients it needs.
The Alcat test identifies inflammatory triggers that can increase digestive function, and the Cellular Nutrition Assay (CNA) will identify specific micronutrients that are beneficial for your cells.
Together these tests will enable you and your personal expert advisor to create a diet and supplements regimen that will boost your strength and energy.

Test your compatibility to medicinal herbs and functional foods

The test may help to
Ref. Alcat https://previmedica.com/lab-science/
Medicinal herbs, functional foods and botanicals are widely used in supplements, teas, creams, tinctures, cosmetics… even in functional foods, e.g. protein bars.
The potency of botanicals is easily underestimated. Our testing uncovers how the intake of supposedly healthy food supplements or natural medicine may actually impede your health goals because they may not be compatible:
Taking the “extra vitamin kick” or botanicals does not always have the beneficial effect that is hoped for. The active ingredients are very potent and should not be underestimated.
The biologically active plant ingredients in adaptogens are intended to help people “adapt” to increased physical and emotional stress. Adaptogens can even have multiple beneficial effects, e.g. simultaneously calming and vitalizing or stress-reducing and performance-enhancing. So, it is important that you use the right ones for you.
The functional Alcat sensitivity test evaluates if immune cell reaction against nutraceuticals are present. If an excessive cellular immune response (sensitivity or intolerance) is identified, the consumption should be avoided.
So that you get the most out of taking supplements, medicinal herb or functional food it is important to determine whether a substance is a friend or foe of your immune cells.
If you show a reaction in your Alcat Sensitivity Test to medicinal herbs or functional foods, you should definitely avoid them.
Your Previ Expert counselor will take into account your lab findings to provide you with a personalized nutrition and supplement plan.
Functional nutraceutical intolerance testing
This specialized functional Alcat nutraceutical sensitivity test is based on the same principle as that of the Alcat Test for food sensitivity, to assess whether immune cell reactions are present or not. If a “foe” is identified in form of an excessive cellular immune response (intolerance / sensitivity), the intake should be avoided.
Nutraceutical intolerance test results are easy to understand, actionable, and meaningful.

A simple blood draw is needed.
Alcat Test results are categorized by your individual degree of cellular reactivity (severe, moderate, mild, or non-reactive) and reported in an easy to read color-coded format.
For this highly specialized test panel we recommend that this test be used as part of a comprehensive nutritional assessment with individualized guidance as provided with the Previ Expert Package.

Monitor your health progress. Telomere length may indicate and predict biological ageing and age-related diseases.

The test may help in catching early signs of
Ref. Telomere Length: https://previmedica.com/lab-science/
Telomeres are the end pieces of our chromosomes – and, just as the plastic end caps on our shoelaces prevents the laces from fraying, the telomeres protect our chromosomes from fraying, thus helping to keep our DNA stable.

With each cell division, the telomeres decrease in length. Biologist Leonard Hayflick, in the 1960s, discovered that over the course of about 50 divisions the telomeres become so short that cell division can no longer occur, and reaches what is now called the, “Hayflick limit.” At that point the cell no longer divides and it becomes senescent; that is, it loses function and dies or, lives but becomes a “zombie” cell. The accumulation of senescent cells is related to aging.
Genetics is not absolute. It is estimated that 70% of chronic diseases are related to lifestyle. This is called epigenetics, that is, how your genes are expressed. Therefore, a well-adjusted lifestyle is the key to improving health and well-being.
Telomeres length provides insight into biological aging including the potential for age-related disease.
Telomeres can be prematurely shortened due to inflammation related oxidative stress. These conditions might reduce the protective effect of telomeres, damaging DNA, and contributing to early cell death.
The body has a natural defense against telomere shortening. In fact the Nobel prize 2009 was granted to the scientists Elisabeth Blackburn, Carol W. Greider and Jack W. Szostak for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase.
The title of Blackburn’s book says it all: “Living younger, healthier, longer”. – Eric Kandel, Nobel laureate states: “A classic. One of the most exciting books to emerge in the last decade. It explains how we can slow the way we age at a fundamental level.”
In the human body the enzyme telomerase counteracts the shortening of telomeres. The good news is that lifestyle choices aimed at reducing inflammation may help delay telomere shortening.
With the telomere length test you will gain insight regarding your “biological aging” and this test can be used for monitoring progress.
A simple blood draw is all you need.
DNA from white blood cells is analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) to determine the average leukocyte (immune cell) telomere length value by comparing the number of nucleotide repeats of the telomeres against a single copy reference gene. The result is then compared to an age-matched population.
The test report is easy to read and to understand.
The telomere score is based on your average telomere length compared to telomere lengths from individuals of the same age range.
A simple blood draw is needed.

We recommend that this test be used as part of a comprehensive nutritional assessment with individualized guidance as provided with the Previ Expert Package.

The methylation-detoxification profile is a genetic test for important metabolic pathways, detoxification, and hormone balance.

Methylation-detoxification genes may be related with:
Ref. MD Profile: https://previmedica.com/lab-science/
More than 50% of people may be affected by genetic variants in the methylation pathway. Fortunately gene variants can be supported with proper nutrition and the right supplementation.
Methyl groups can act as gene regulators. They are biochemical on-and-off switches of gene expression. They control enzymatic reactions, impact mood and neurotransmitter balance, protect against chronic degenerative disease by reducing inflammatory processes, transform toxins into forms that are more readily excreted, impact tissue healing, and protect cells from oxidative stress.
Thus, methylation can play an important role in many health conditions.
You’re unique. Eat like it.
Vitamins, minerals, nutrients, coenzymes, and botanicals can only do their job as desired on the basis of functioning methylation.
Essential processes of the body to maintain health and self-healing are influenced by methyl groups. If methyl groups are in short supply, the body has difficulty controlling these functions. You become ”out of balance”.
Identifying your genetic variants can help determine what nutrient support you need.
The Previ Expert Package will take into account all laboratory findings for your personalized nutrition and supplement plan.
Methyl Detox Profile test components:
The genes are analyzed using real time SSP-PCR (polymerase chain reaction with sequence-specific primers) followed by melt curve analysis.
The methylation process and the functional status of the methylation pathway is profound and complex.
The Methyl Detox Profile provides an easy-to-understand test report which is both clear and patient friendly.

A simple swab sample or blood draw is needed.
Test results include expert clinician commentaries and include personalized recommendations for diet, nutrient supplementation, or IV nutrient therapy.
We recommend that this test be used as part of a comprehensive nutritional assessment with individualized guidance as provided with the Previ Expert Package.
Add on Methy Detox Profile for $248 (regular $310)
Functional food sensitivity testing at the cellular level shows how your immune cells respond to foods.
Food sensitivity may be associated with:
Ref. Alcat https://previmedica.com/lab-science/
The impact of food sensitivity is easily underestimated. The Alcat Test uncovers how food, even supposedly healthy foods, may affect your wellbeing.
Gluten-free, Paleo, dairy-free, no nightshades, no caffeine, vegan, no grains… ever feel like you’re constantly trying to pinpoint which foods you should and shouldn’t eat?
You are unique. One way to personalize your diet with the foods that are right for you is to take the Alcat functional food sensitivity test.
This anti-inflammatory diet may support the immune system, detoxification and metabolism – a prerequisite for health, wellness and performance.
Our functional food sensitivity is a biological immune cell activation test. Detected cell changes in volume, size and number are associated with cell activation potentially causing inflammation.

Immune cell activation is the cause of inflammation
The immune system is a double edged sword. It should react appropriately and protect against infection when confronted with harmful invaders.
The above figure shows the defense reaction of an immune cell (neutrophil/eosinophil granulocyte) causing inflammation. Beside pathogens such reactions can also be induced by foods, toxins or chemicals. The scientific term is DAMP, danger/damage associated molecular pattern. Adverse reactions to foods are found to be a factor in chronic and cardio-metabolic diseases, or autoimmunity.
The Alcat Test does NOT measure “true” food allergy classic allergy type 1) where symptom onset is immediate and acute. The Alcat Test identifies foods which may cause delayed type hypersensitivities that are usually chronic and low grade. Therefore, you may not be aware that chronic symptoms may be associated by foods regularly consumed.
A review of test results with your Previ Nutrition Counselor is included.
Your blood sample is sent to the laboratory. The sample first goes through a multi-step quality assurance process. During testing, your immune cells are confronted with foods and/or items including additives, colorings, molds, medicinal herbs, and chemical agents.

After testing, the results are presented in a clear and easy to read color-coded format, showing you which foods/substances to which your cells had a severe, moderate , mild, or no reaction.
A suggested dietary rotation plan is provided. The test result review is included.

Test 104 micronutrients, botanicals, and antioxidants to nourish and protect your body at the cellular level. This test can also be used to customize supplementation.
This test may help with:
Ref. CNA: https://previmedica.com/lab-science/
If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have the safest way to health. (Hippocrates)
People are often confused as to whether or not their supplements are truly benefiting them. This test answers those questions.
Micronutrients counteract stress and improve resistance to environmental pollution, toxins, and drugs, which varies from person to person. Many factors, such as lifestyle, genetics, pregnancy, recent infection, sleep patterns, overexertion in sports, age, gender, and other factors may play a role in your nutritional status and needs.
The Cellular Nutrition Assay (CNA) reflects how your immune cells respond to and are protected by specific micronutrients and antioxidants all of which is based on your biochemical individuality.
Thus, the CNA tells you what your cells need.
Everybody’s nutritional needs are different. The Cellular Nutrition Assays (CNA) examine how your cells respond to specific nutrients – not just whether you are within “normal population ranges”. The CNA provides the basis for personalized foods and supplements tailored to your unique needs.
The Previ Expert Package will take into account all laboratory findings for your personalized diet and supplement plan.
Nutrient stores in cells reflect long-term nutritional status and have the most functional impact. We analyze the direct response of your immune cells (lymphocytes) when individual micronutrients are added to them. When we see increased metabolism of your immune cells it may indicate a micronutrient insufficiency.
The Redox Assay or your “cell stress test” reflects your antioxidant capacity, in other words, your cells’ ability to resist oxidative damage.
The cell protection part of the test indicates which nutrients should be considered to protect your immune cells, resist oxidative damage, and improve your overall antioxidant capacity (Redox).
Results are actionable, easy to understand, and meaningful.
A simple blood draw is needed.
Nutrients are highlighted according to your cellular responses. Descriptions of each “insufficient” nutrient and “protective” antioxidant are provided along with specific foods to emphasize in your diet.
We recommend that this test be used as part of a comprehensive nutritional assessment with individualized guidance as provided with the Previ Expert Package.

Functional Laboratory Testing aimed at personalized nutrition and prevention
Functional testing can meet your unique needs and particularly the Alcat Test and Cellular Nutrition Assays determine how your immune cells react to various exposures.
The Alcat food and chemical sensitivity test identifies adverse reactions to foods and other dietary items, chemicals, medicinal herbs, functional foods and many other substances. As such it provides a foundation for personalized eating. It tests how your innate immune cells react to various exposures and is a reliable method tto determine which foods and other substances should be restricted.
Other immune cells can also be used as a biomarker for the absorption and metabolism of nutrients. The Cellular Nutrition Assays (CNA) show which nutrients, botanicals, antioxidants etc. are insufficient and which are beneficial for an individual. In this test we actually feed the cells different nutrients one by one to see which ones improve their function. In the Antioxidant Protection Assay we look at which specific antioxidants protect the cells when they are placed under stress.
The functional nutrition tests can be complimented using indicators or risk assessment for disease processes: for example, CICA for intestinal complaints or the telomere length test to determine the ratio between actual age and the so-called biological age.
Cell Science Systems (CSS) was the clear winner of the prestigious Frost & Sullivan Award, which was granted only once in 2016.

It is not necessary to postpone testing if, despite medication use, inflammatory symptoms persist. However, to the extent medication can be reduced prior to testing, the patient should do so, under the supervision of a healthcare provider. If the individual is taking a medication on a long-term basis without the possibility of discontinuing it, the results would be reflective of his/her current status while taking that medication. If a medication is taken short term and the individual has been advised by his/her practitioner to discontinue it, it would be best to wait two weeks after the medication is discontinued.
It is generally necessary to have a white blood cell (WBC) count to be greater than 3500 per microliter in order to have enough cells to test. If a sufficient WBC quantity is a concern, it might be best to have an extra tube or two of blood drawn. If possible, do not take any medications at least 4 hours before blood draw.
Each tube must be filled to capacity. Failure to do so may require recollection.
Because the immune system is a dynamic and changing system in the body and the sensitivity to foods may differ in a few months, we suggest you don’t delay. The sooner you understand what foods to avoid, what foods to consume within a varied pattern, the sooner you can get started and start to feel your best.
The Alcat Test is NOT a food allergy test. It is designed to test for sensitivities, which involve a delayed, not necessarily an immediate response. If you have true food allergies, continue to avoid those foods at all costs, regardless of the reaction or non-reaction determined by the Alcat Test.
Specimens must be shipped via UPS/FedEx the same day blood is drawn. Check with UPS/FedEx prior to draw for express delivery cutoff times. When using our company for the blood draw they will return the kit to us. A return shipping label will be inside the kit.
BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR SPECIMEN!
IMPORTANT: “Lab Requisition Form” inside your kit REQUIRES YOUR SIGNATURE on the FRONT of the document so we may provide services.
Disclaimer: It’s important to note that food sensitivity testing is distinct from what is commonly referred to as classical or IgE mediated food allergy testing. While both tests share the objective of identifying potential food reactions, they vary in their diagnostic methodologies and the types of reactions they detect. Food allergy testing commonly focuses on immediate, often severe, reactions to foods, while food sensitivity testing aims to detect delayed reactions that can be less severe but still affect one’s health in pronounced ways. There is some overlap between the two broad types of reactions and consulting with a qualified healthcare professional to determine which testing approach is most suitable for your particular situation can be valuable. The Alcat test is useful for identification of sensitivities, but not classical allergies.
